SEERESS

Seeress is a collaboration with live video artists alKamie in a performance based on the Völva character from Völuspà, an old Norse saga. I perform solo with my gestural feedback instrument which is based on electroacoustic feedback run through a Nord Modular G2 synthesizer. In the performance I am exploring different forms of relatedness with the speakers, the sounds, the images and the room — all of which are conceptualized as one of six Selves as expressed in old Norse cosmology.
